Atmospheric Corrosion 101:

Our Technical Experts will present an overview of corrosion in outdoor environments with a special focus on modern techniques for conducting accelerated testing of corrosion prevention strategies. 

Attendees will learn:

• Fundamentals of corrosion, including chemistry, forms, and mitigation
• Outdoor corrosion testing and environmental characterization
• Laboratory accelerated corrosion testing history, from early continuous salt spray standards to modern cyclic testing
• Realistic testing for better correlation to actual service environments
• Best practices for laboratory corrosion, including test monitoring and verification, and specimen evaluation
